The motivational speaker and author will serve as the keynote speaker for the College’s April 7th Convocation.
Talladega, Alabama – One of Birmingham’s most influential motivational speakers and authors Ms. A. Faye Boykin is scheduled to be the guest speaker at Talladega College’s “Women Changing the World” Convocation. Boykin, who is also a former native of Talladega, will bring the keynote address to the faculty, staff, and students on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m.
Boykin has been described as a woman of passion with purpose, perseverance, and spiritual prosperity. Seldom does anyone cross her path, leaving her presence the same way they came. This quintessential woman is a consultant, a social worker, an international motivational/inspirational speaker, a publisher, and a best-selling author of one book, with four others to her credit. The “Women Changing the World” Convocation is just one of many activities the College will host during its week long celebration of women. The festivities will kickoff with a round table discussion on Monday, April 6th at 6:00 p.m. in Fanning. On Wednesday, April 8th, a campus-wide health fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
A graduate of Tuskegee University, Boykin has unexplainable determination, and an indomitable will. She’s a high-energy speaker whose enthusiasm is contagious and inspirational. Boykin is happily married to Eric A. Calhoun, J.D., and is the loving mother of one biological son, Joseph, and one bonus daughter Asha.
